How to fix proximity

Iv been combing the net looking for any thing on how to fix a proximity censor on my Lg Leon. Recently i droped myphone and had to replace the screen witch i did with easy but upon trying to use my phone to make a call my screen went black i heard nothing nor did the person on the other end of the call this is still happening iv put in the hidden menu key but there are no tests on my version of this phone sadly . any suggestions i like to try and fix things myself befor i deal with the large fees to fix simple probs from big corps. There are 50k vids on how to fix every model but the leon im sure its the proximity

Welcome to Android Central! During a call, the proximity sensor should only turn the screen off, not prevent you and the other person from hearing each other. Can the call go through if you use speakerphone?
