How to fix the problem adb is out of date during bootloader unlock?

I want to bootloader unlock my Motorola droid RAZR M I use motocpocalypse by Dan Rosenberg I have rooted my cellphone and when I open the application and click the button it says adb is out of date or deamon started successfully how to fix this issue?
I want to install cm12.1 nighty on it

You get an "adb is out of date" with the phone plugged into a computer? Or even if it's not? (If it's only when it's plugged in, update adb on the computer.)
