How to force open links in fb app

When I am sent links in the fb messenger app it opens them on m.facebook.com instead of the fb app. And shows that I'm still in messenger when I go to close the app.

Don't know your Android version, but you may go to Settings > Application manager, find Facebook, see if there is a Set as default option, enter it, set Go to supported URLs as Via this app.

Go to settings > general > apps > (click menu button) then configure apps > then click app links

Here you can change what happens when you click links through the app

I'm having the same problem with Facebook links opening in the messenger browser instead of the Facebook app. Changing my settings doesn't do anything and it still opens in the messenger browser regardless. Any suggestions?

As far as I can remember, there is another setting on Facebook Messenger, but not sure now.
