How to format SD card after moving files onto it?

I have a Huawei p9 lite.
I clicked onto files, selected all my files on internal memory and moved them into my SD card.
Since then I haven't been able to format or delete my SD card clean (on phone or computer).
I've tried different software and googled this but files always show up after wiping Clean.

Put the card into your computer, right-click on it and choose Format.

You do know formatting an SD card will erase everything on it?

That´s simple. Insert the card into your computer, then right-click on it and chose Format.
