How to get around the knock code?

My screen cracked, and apparently broken android screens are not like the multitude of broken iphone screens which miraculously continue to function. I can turn it on, and the screen has just enough sensitivity to lock me out when I put in the correct knock code. I'm trying to get to the screen where I can just put in a passcode, because I think I'd have better luck with that. This is a Verizon LG G3 without the Lollipop update.

if its like tmobile in settings display>> lockscreen >> select screen lock i turned it off cuz the knock code is crap even when i got it right it never let me in

Time to buy another screen man, unless you can enter the knock code and get into your dialer.
Find out the code for Verizon to get into the hidden settings, from there you can disable knock code.

lockscreen and knock code are two different things.
