How to get it unlocked and not part of a Wireless company

HTC offers their unlocked phones directly from the HTC website, not really part of any wireless company. Is there anything that's equivalent with Samsung? I am currently on ATT, and I know they offer unlocked phones, but I really wanna get rid of the bloatware (the att ones...) so was hoping to get it straight from the manufacturer, is there such an option? thanks!
