how to get lock screen notifications

How do you get lock screen notifications on android? I want them to look nice. I love the notifications on iOS. Please help, thanks.

Settings>my device> lock screen you can turn on multiple widgets so you can swipe to the side of your lockscreen and see weather or your music playlist. It sounds like you want new texts to preview on your lockscreen, go to messages> settings and check the box for preview message. If you want different things be more specific for more tips
