how to hide app icons in the app drawer?

I picked up the s7 coming from the s5. In the s5 I could choose icons in the app drawer to hide or unhide. I did this for the bloatware apps that couldn't be uninstalled, but also for some of the apps which I only use when traveling overseas which isn't more than once or twice a year. On the s7 I don't see this option, the only way I see to remove them from the app drawer is to uninstall them. am I missing something? thanks.

Have you already tried this?

From any Home screen, tap the Apps tray and select EDIT. Apps that can be hidden will have a 'minus' sign in the top right corner. Tap the 'minus' sign and select TURN OFF to hide.

Install Nova Launcher, Nova Launcher Prime, and Tesla Unread (it's use with Nova Launcher). Then you can hide apps and the launcher is so much nicer than stock it's not funny and explains why it is so freaking popular.
