That depends on how Facebook was installed in the first place. If it was pre-installed by your mobile carrier, then you may be able to disable it - so it wouldn't free up space on your phone, but at least it would be prevented from starting and using additional storage and accessing your mobile data connection.

Open Settings (the gear-shaped icon)
Go to Apps
Scroll down to Facebook, then tap on it
Tap on "Force Stop"
Tap "Mobile Data," then turn off "Allow background data usage"
Back up a screen, then tap "Storage"
Tap "Clear Data"
Back up a screen, then tap "Notifications"
Turn off notifications
Back up a screen, then look for a button that says either "Uninstall" or "Disable." Tap on it.

That should either uninstall the app, or at least keep it from starting on its own in the future (and it will be hidden from your app drawer)
