AC Question

I've tried everything to import photos from my Note 5 to my Macbook Pro (late 2013) via a USB, but nothing has worked. I have Android File Transfer, and it has worked before for other purposes, but for some reason, the application crashes whenever I try to access the DCIM/Camera folder. In that way, I am unable to access the photos.

When I switch to a PTP connection, Photos opens to import from the device. It loads for a while, but then, it just says that there are "No Photos."

I've tried uninstalling Smart Switch and its drivers, switching to a different USB cable, etc. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Try Samsung's side sync software, should be available on Mac. It lets you mirror your screen, share files, receive notifications on your Mac while it's connected.

Numerous ways to back up to a cloud service if you use the cloud.

Or what I do is I just connect a flash drive to the Note 5, it's how I got photos off mine. Android devices work with most forms of external storage if you have a micro usb to usb OTG cable.
