On my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 the battery life is poor and not consistent to be honest ... :( :( :(

It can get 5 hours of sceen time(which is and good and long enough for me) for a couple days everytime i restarted the Tab Pro 8.4 or cleared the cache.

But after a few days it goes down hill and i get only 3/4 hours of sceen time even when i just doing light stuff like web browsing or watching videos.

I don't really play games a lot on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and i always have my brightness under 40% and have things like Bluetooth, GPS etc off and i use the "Power saving mode" all the time and i keep on force closing apps/games to stop draning the battery life but it still does not make a big difference...

Maybe because of TouchWiz is draining the battery faster than normal but i don't really know?.....

Just wondering does this happen to you? And How to keep getting good enough battery life(5 hours of sceen time) all the time?

And why everytime i restart my Tab Pro 8.4 and i could get 5 hours of sceen time but after a few days it goes down hill and can only get 3/4 MAX of sceen time on every single charge?..

I really WANT to get good battery life(5 hours of sceen time) all the time on my Tab Pro 8.4 because that is good and long enough for me. :)

TouchWiz is only really using battery when it's the foreground app (IOW, when you can see the homescreen or app drawer). Otherwise it's idling in the background or, if Android needs the RAM space, not there at all.

5 hours of screen on time is a lot. Even 4 hours is pretty good.

To keep the battery going as long as possible (between battery replacements), never let it drop below 40%. I get the idea that you run it until the tab shuts off, which would be around 5%. That's a good way to make the battery manufacturers rich (draining to 0% every day can kill the battery in less than 6 months - 5% isn't much better). If you need more than 3 hours screen time away from a charger, get a power bank. (And don't let the power bank discharge below 40% either - it's also a lithium battery.)

I've found the biggest drain on the battery is actually when I'm online surfing.I can literally see the battery percentage going down minute by minute.

I have been extremely disappointed with the battery life of my. SM-T320. While it started off great - battery would last a couple days with medium use for the first 5 months, the battery has now started losing its charge in a matter of hours with heavy use, and not more than a day when with little to no use other than being on.

While I would expect this over time, I wouldn't expect it after less than 6 months.
I have all the usual items convered- screen set to the lowest possible (which is sad as the screen is beautiful), pover saver on, etc. In the settings/general/battery the screen is showing 45% and android system/os at 12% and 11%.

Has anyone found a solution to increase battery life?

In the same boat as you and i am still trying ways to increase the bettery life but it still have not made a difference unfortunately. :/ :/

And i agree the Tab Pro 8.4 sceen is beautiful! :)

So how many hours of Sceen time you are getting on a single charge? I am only getting 3/4 hours of sceen time instead of 5 hours of sceen time with medium use. :/

I'm convinced that any app that says it's a battery saver is actually making things worse as it's running in the background.
