How to keep WiFi enabled Always

This may sound real basic but I am having difficulty keeping WiFi enabled all the time.
For example , I set WiFi as enabled but sometimes when I get home where I have WiFi the phone immediately automatically connects me but other times it shows WiFi being not enabled so have to manually set make it enabled.
Same thing happened in stores, etc where there is free guest WiFi.
Any thoughts?

Do you have it set to Keeop Wi-Fi on during sleep (Settings/Connections/Wifi - Menu/Advanced)?
