How to make TeslaUnread's "Sticky" App Badges now?

First, I posted this recently and it was either moved or deleted with no explanation or private message telling me where or why. A bit frustrating... So here goes again:

I just updated to Nova 7. Which no longer supports TeslaUnread. The one feature I can't believe has been overlooked is having the app badge/counters STAY ON even after you swipe the notification away in the Notification Panel at the top.

I get a text. Notification pops up in the Panel at the top, and Google Messages shows a red (1). GREAT!

But if I clear that notification or open Google Messages, the (1) goes away and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of me knowing I have an unread text waiting for me!?

I have no clue how this has been overlooked... but I'm looking for help figuring out how to make "sticky" app badge/notification counters that TeslaUnread offered.

One thing I thought of: When Voicemail appears in the Notification Panel, it can't be swiped away!? It's "sticky" until I actually go check my voicemail. Is there a way to do that with other apps like WhatsApp, FB Messenger, Google Messages, etc...?

Thanks in advance!!

Google removed Tesla Unread from the Play Store more than 2 years ago and Nova stopped supporting it in the new 7 version. With recent Android versions the unread count was full of bugs and completely unreliable. If you still want to use it you can install Nova 6 and Tesla Unread manually.

Nova 7 badges are notification based and there's no workaround available. The badge will go away if you dismiss all the notifications related to the app. As far as I know there's no way to 'stick' notifications for third party apps.

Yeah, I know, no much help. Sorry.

Hi, you grant Nova notification access?
Go to settings>apps>special access>notification accessView attachment 337374

Hi. Yes. It is set to Allowed. But the badge keeps clearing whenever I open and close the app. I just can't fathom how this is acceptable. It's literally pushing me to an iPhone. I checked on my wife's iphone and her's does it, no prob, nothing special required. You can open iMessages, close it, and the Unread counter stays at 1. Not rocket science for Google to figure out HowTF to make this work.

Thank you though! Now I can stop looking/wasting time trying to make it work. Have a good night!

If you interact in pull down notification panel it wont make the badge disappear for that app but if you clear without opening there or interact then it will erase the badge. Its the way Andriod does it .
