How to make your front facing camera the default camera

Hello all,

I recently dropped my Samsung Galaxy S3 into the toilet. After much rice drying, the device works fine! except for the main 8gb back facing camera. It does not work. Anytime I go to the camera application, it says, 'Warning: Camera Failed.' When I go to Instagram it says 'Cannot connect to Camera.' However, I know my front facing camera does work, as when I use Skype it works, and with Snapchat it worked as well (except I stupidly clicked rotate and now I cannot rotate the camera back to the front facing one on the application).

My question is this: Can I set my front facing camera as the default camera, so when I open applications like Snapchat, Camera, and Instagram it goes directly to the front facing camera allowing me to still take pictures.

I tried to play with the default setting in the Camera application, but this were not clickable. Any suggesstions would be very helpful. Thanks again everyone.

Try downloading a 3rd party camera app. It might let you switch cameras but only for that app :/
