How to manage alarms on galaxy S6?

I want to silence a phone alarm before it sounds without disabling the alarm. If I want to disable the alarm before it sounds, it seems the only way to do this is to turn off the alarm itself. When I do that, I forget to re-enable the alarm before the next day. Is there a way to silence an alarm before it sounds just for that one particular day? Thanks

In you alarm settings you can set it to just vibrate or silent for that particular day and leave the audio/vibrate portion on for the rest of the days for the week.
