How to manage autostart of apps on Nokia XR20 with Android 14?

Hi,

I have some problems with an app that is supposed to autostart and used to do so until Android 13 but not anymore under Android 14. I have a Nokia XR20 with Android 14 in the Android One version, so I thought I post it here instead of the Nokia subforum.

My question is: Where in Android 14 (Android One) can I view and - if necessary - change/set the autostart for apps? By autostart I mean that the app is supposed to start automatically after switching on the phone and completion of booting. Or is there an app that allows to view these settings under Android 14? All the apps that claim to be autostart managers and that I tested are old already and did not work as intended under Android 14.

By the way, battery optimization is already off for the app and it has all required permissions. "Pause app activity if unused" is also off. Still no autostart.

Hi Laura! No, I am not using a rooted phone with custom ROM. My Nokia XR20 has definitely received Android 14 as an update and it was an official update provided by HMD/Nokia. Maybe there are differences between the rollout dates for different countries.
When I bought this smartphone, it had Android 11 installed and until recently it had Android 13. But starting with Android 14, I started experiencing several problems. So, I now wish I hadn't updated to Android 14.

I guess you mean this information, right? I just deleted any personally identifiable information.

Here are two examples on how the autostart can be managed on devices of other manufacturers:

a) for Xiaomi Android devices:

b) for Samsung Android devices:

I would assume something similar should also be possible in the Android OS of Nokia smartphones.

FYI I merged your threads -- it's best not to have the same question in two threads, since that can lead to confusing parallel discussions. I kept the merged thread in the Nokia forum.
