If you're upgrading from the Evo 3D to the LTE and want to use your old Evo 3D car dock / vehicle mount, here's how if you're willing to get out the hack saw. Get a hack saw and a phillips screw driver. First, remove the plastic insert that allows using the Evo 3D without a case. (Not shown in the images). Then separate the 2 black plastic parts that comprise the holder/saddle of the dock. To do this, first separate the swivel mount from the holder, by sliding the swivel mount part up until it pops loose from the holder part. Then unscrew the 4 screws in the back of the holder/saddle assembly. Then carefully separate the two parts. (There is 1 plastic clip inside that is holding them together once the screws are removed). Now, take a hack saw and cut off the ends of the inner part at exactly the point where the bottom of the tray starts to slope up on each end. (See image). If your Evo LTE has a case, then also cut off a small portion of the curved ends on each end of the outer part at an angle (as I did in the photos). If your Evo LTE does not have a case, you will also need to cut off the sloping ends of the plastic insert you removed, since you'll need the plastic insert to prop up the Evo slightly in the tray. Lightly file down any sharp corners. Important: Attach some felt pads (approx 1/4 inch thick depending on how thick your case is) to the back as shown, in order to prevent stress on the micro usb port when phone is in the dock. Then reassemble.
You can see the end result in the photos. I have a clear gel case on the Evo. (The plastic insert is not shown. I always use a case with phones, so I removed the insert long ago). Enjoy
