How to put a webview on a thread

Hi,
I have a webview inside a Service, that runs javascript code (by calling loadUrl), but when i run the app in background it takes some pauses periodically. In advance, it seems that when the phone is connected to my PC there isn't any problem.

I need the script to be executed constantly, so i thought to move the webview to a second thread.

Another solution could be creating an IntentService instead of simple Service, or use something other than webview to execute my remote javascript code.

Any ideas?
