How to put apps, not being used, to sleep?

I don't want to get rid of the apps I have, but don't use everyday; so I want to put them to sleep and be able to wake them up when needed. I have a Galaxy J3 emerge. Thank you

Press the Menu Button on the Bottom of your phone, and a Menu where you can manage your Background apps will show up. Tap the X on the Top right corner of every app window to put that app to sleep.
