How to reboot when a hard boot will not work?

My phone over heated. when i tried turning it back on after removing the battery for about 20 minutes, it will not go any further than the Lg logo. I have tried to hard boot, but the option for a hard boot doesn't come on.

Have you tried calling your carrier?
