How to reduce space used by Yahoo and Chrome?

A

AC Question

I use Galaxy Note 8 tablet with Android 4.1.2. I keep deleting games and applications (almost none left) but the system notifies me about running out of space. Upon looking to determine the reason for this message I found out that the Yahoo App occupies 1.80Gb of my device, and Chrome Occupies 800MB.

Is there a way to decrease the space used by these apps? Why does Yahoo uses so much space? And Chrome?

Any help would be very much apreciated!

Welcome to the forums. There is probably a large cache buildup. You can clear it in Settings>Application manager.

Do you have any pictures, videos, or music on the tablet?

Thank you for your reply. I dont think its a matter of cache. Even when you clean it (various tools are avialable) the app size of chrome still occupies 800 mb and yahoo occupies 1.80gb. It is a common problem for chrome in Android 4.1.2 (for chrome). I am just asking if someone has solved it.

I would just delete data from each app using app manager and the re-log into the apps.
