How to remove carrier installed software

Hi,

I live in the UK and have just bought a note 5 from the US, absolutely love it but find the pre-installed non removable software and tags a bit annoying. For example, US Cellular I'd my first bookmark and I can't remove it. Is it possible to put the device in a 'neutral' state? I can find plenty of information on how to the root the device, but nothing on just removing all the carrier tags etc. Do I need to go down the rooting, route?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Some US Notes can not be rooted.. Well you can root them but them you have a brick.

What model number is your phone?

The link for the app Javier gave is a great app to disable bloat.

There's no way to remove all of the carrier specific questions additions without root but many items can be removed by package disabler which Javier linked to above.

You can purchase Package Disabler Pro. It allows you to disable bloatware. In my opinion, I believe it is worth the couple bucks. Especially since you can not disable some Preinstalled applications via Application Manager.

I don't think you can at least with AT&T you can't. Bootloader is locked. Just disable the apps you don't want.

AT&T Note 5 will not boot up once rooted. There is something special on the AT&T and Verizon variants.

You root those two, you have a brick. It will root, just won't boot and will tell you it won't boot because it is rooted.
