How to remove Google widget from to of home screen

The Google search bar is persistent in the stock launcher. You'll have to use a third party launcher to disable that

One of the reasons I install Nova Launcher on all my devices. Keeps things consistent & is very smooth & fluid.

Many alternate launchers will give you that l that option but stock will not
