How to remove lock on galaxy grand prime

I'm new to lollipop and I tried to encrypt my device but realized how long it was going to take and decided to stop. The thing is, I already setup the password. Is it possible to remove the password without completing the encryption?

How did you stop the process? Usually when that starts encrypting data, you have to wait until it completes.

After setting the password I couldn't select 'encrypt device' (don't know why).

You might be safe then. Did you set a password because the encryption process required? You might have just set your regular password, which encrypting requires.

Yeah I did. I got it now tho. Battery level was below 80%. Cheers for the reply
