I picked up a used S4 today and activated with Verizon at the store and everything is fine, but this damn demo screen will not stop.
I tried to uninstall it, and find a "KILL" switch but I can't see anything..

any advice, I searched and looked up on Google and found nothing so far

I'm not even sure I know what you're talking about...?

I agree with pete... can you take a screenshot of the screen... press the power button and the home button at the same time to take a screenshot... then post it here using the "Go Advanced" button when you are posting your reply, and add the image using the "Manage Attachments" button.

Thanks everyone .. here are the screen shots

Have you been back to Verizon and see if they know how? This one is new to me so sorry I can't help.

Have you done a master reset on the device?

Looks like I may have a demo phone, the firmware has issues and won't work on KIES to give me update. I would root, but I am not sure how just a root and freezing this app will fix everything.

I think you realize the issue... someone sold you a demo phone. I'm not really sure of how legal that is or what all they load on a device to make it a demo. You might try to bring it into a Verizon shop, but I'm not really sure if they will even help you since you purchased it used.

If it were me, I would go through the process to reload the stock firmware.

You must have bought yours at a authorized dealer, because corporate doors can only sell new. Take that back ASAP.

Read the first post... the OP purchased this used. I'm just guessing, but it might be stolen.

I am really concerned about the Demo screen now. I just bought a tablet for my daughter and I to share. We bought it "new" on Ebay from a reliable seller. But I did notice a few scratches on the screen and now I just read about how the Demo mode is for in-store models and that this might be stolen?!
Could this really be a stolen tablet?

Verizon stores due sell Refurbished devices, when you return a device within the 14 day window it gets refurbished and sold as such. It cannot be sold as new and they don't throw them out. If this is a unit with the "demo" running on it, not sure what or how to root it, flash it, or get recovery on it. You might want to hit up the folks at XDA-Devs someone there might be able to assist, a dev perhaps and also may be interested in getting more info about the device since these never get sold.

There might be a screen saver app on your phone that is set to run the demo when you power up the phone. So, look for that app and see if you can change the settings to fix the problem.

I doubt if it's stolen. My note5 jst had an update a cpl weeks ago and now wen my virus scan runs it comes back telling me that the Verizon demo mode is a potential security hazard. I ordered my phone straight from verizon. So there is some thing wrong with the last android update that was done.
