Hello all,

I was fortunate enough to pick up a 4k TV during Black Friday and I was really looking forward to showing off the video on my phone...but I can't figure out how to play it!

It seems that all UHDTV Smart TVs cannot handle the codec that the Note 4 uses to film in. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeves that they can share? I'd rather not have to re-encode all the videos. At this point, if it's going to be a pain in the ***...I'll have to just start recording in typical HD (those play fine).

Thanks in advance for your help,

ATM

How about recording the 4k video to an sd card and then putting that into a card USB card reader and then put the card reader into a USB slot on the tv.

Maybe no one has an UHDTV yet.
I just got one myself but haven't had a chance to test it out.
Guess I will too.
By the way, what brand of TV did you get?

I too got an uhdtv on Thursday. Got a Samsung so I'm guessing they'll talk nicely but I haven't tested it.

Rocking the Note 4

I got the Fry's LG 65" UHDTV Black Friday special and the Vizio 65" UHDTV from BestBuy...I think I'm keeping the Vizio because it seems to have a better picture.

As for 4k video play back...I started to just upload it to youtube and watch it that way...

funny you asked that..

I bought from flea bay a dvdo 4K MHL3 cable with a Samsung adapter. I heard it worked with the s5..

of course its still in the box.. hahah My 4K tv is already hooked to my pc so I just dump it on a folder and play, I just opened it and found out my pos 4K is not mhl compatable.. haha I was not planing on using it on this tv anyways. ahhhhh

What is the quality like of the note 4s 4k video when played back on a 4k tv ?
