How to reset large type in Text messages?

how to reset large type in Tex messages

some thing I did has made all the type size in Tex messages super size (very large) does anyone know how to reset it to normal size.
This is on S4 mini running 4.2.2.

Welcome to Android Central! I have read that some Samsung devices allow you to adjust font size in the messaging app by pressing the volume buttons.

Is it only the messaging app that has the large font? If it's througout the system, then go to Settings>Display​, where you should be able to adjust the system font size.

Just verified on my Note 3.
