I used the super one click method to root my wife's Inspire. How do I get her phone back to stock settings. Just like it was before the root? All she really wants is Swype, thats why I rooted her phone. I got sick of calling ATT and being told that the unknown sources update would be sent to her phone. It never came. Now it seems like the update is going out much better.

S1C doesn't root the phone. It just enables installing from unknown sources. You can still have the update pushed to your phone and it will show up in the settings menu.

So if I didnt root the phone, how come when I run Titanium Backup it says im rooted? Because when I used S1C I clicked on ROOT first, it took a few minutes and then said it was rooted. Then I clicked on the button to allow unknown sources. Funny thing is, she can install 3rd party apps, but the "unknown sources" check box is not showing up in applications. I just want the official update from ATT.

I did it the same way. I ran root and it said it was succesful. It only gives temporary root, this allows the enabling unknown sources to work. Once you reboot, temp root is lost but unknown sources is still enabled even though it is not in the settings menu. I had the same thing. Then when AT&T pushed me the update, it added it to the settings menu.

Ok thank you for the information. So the phone should also still be able to get new software updates as well? Like when Gingerbread comes out?

Our phone will never see an official Gingerbread release other than in ROMs. Only our Euro counter-part will/has.

What's the matter? No faith in AT&T? Not saying that I have any, but I think HTC will get it done in the next few months.

Not really. You think after having the BlackBerry Bold 9000 on OS 4.6 and to be waiting on OS 5.0 to come out in April of 2009 wasn't enough, and to have it shelved to be non-existent other than other carriers having it, I don't believe anything until there is official news on it. Point is, The official OS 5 for BB9000 came out almost 13 months AFTER the phone was slated to be placed on EOS.

Faith? in AT&T. There is none.

If your phone says ship s-off than your phone has permaroot, not to be confused with eng s off

I apologize, I confused simple one click with super one click
