No but my friend said flash an older version of the firmware to like 5.0.1 and then use KingRoot. But I haven't got around to trying it.

I am trying to do the exact same thing. It seems I can find 100 people posting on YouTube and forums about other versions, but not the Verizon one. I really want to root my phone but, I also don't want to follow instructions how to do it with a different one and possibly mess it up. Anyone have any luck/answers/links etc to help?
