How to root Galaxy Note 4

[AC Question]

I have the Marshmallow update (I believe, it's 6.0.1)
Could anyone send me the links to the stuff I'm supposed to download to my phone? I've never rooted my device before and I really don't want to brick it. I can't find any step by step articles nor the stuff I'm supposed to download. Hell, even a link to a complete article would be nice.

First off - know exactly what device you have, the exact model number and firmware version you're on.
2nd - go to XDA develppers site and go into the forum for the variant of the device you have (there's Note 4 forums for different carrier versions of the Note 4). Seek advice there rather than here since there is more likely to have active root instruction/support threads there than there are here.

+1 for the advice. I hope that your variant isn't the AT&T one. If so, don't even waste your time. I'm with AT&T, and i'll NEVER get a Samsung phone again.
