[HOW-TO] Root the Optimus Black

Piece of cake.

• Make sure you have an SD card mounted
• Turn on USB debugging
• Turn on Unknown sources
• Go to XDA and download the latest Gingerbreak.apk
• Install it
• Run it

BOOM. Root.

Hi I am new to this got my LG Optimus black the other day have downloaded drivers and lg pc sync i am not able to connect it to my pc the only option i am gettint is turn on mass storage..... Please can someone help me i been searching all day for a forum or help on this.

Isn't the Lg Optimus Black also called Lg Marquee on Sprint ??? and if so Can i root my Lg Marquee .... It's on Sprint/Boost ... If so can u point me to a how to ???

i too faced the same problem...try following...

1) do factory reset (settings/privacy/factory reset)
if it doesnt works....
2) connect your phone to computer via usb cable..,but dont turn on mass storage....uninstall previously installed drivers, pc sync softwares on ur computer....and freshly download the usb drivers only from the lg official site.........

this is what i remember......just try...........
