Keep in mind one thing which ever procedure you take make sure it does not trip your knox or you will lose warranty, samsung pay and fingerprint.

Over at xda there is a way to root any s6 or edge without triping knox.

Hi everyone, problem is I have tried the root process that XDA has on there site and every time I try it get a message about bootloader won't allow root. I have no idea what's going on with my S 6 edge. Mine is paid for and it's out of warranty so I'm not worried about tripping knox, any ideas?

You have to unlock the bootloader by enabling the developer options. About phone, tap build number 7 times the check bootloader unlock and USB debugging.
