How To Root the Samsung Galaxy S 4G

So I'm rooted I'm trying to delete factory apps and for certain apps I get this permission denied message what permissions

That's actually a good idea in the general tech sense; I'm new to messing with my Android, but I would assume that if you got a malicious app from the app-store or 3rd party, it could be worse for the phone if it was rooted...but maybe not, like I said, I'm new to this stuff.

Everytime I try to root my galaxy s 4g on super one click it starts "not responding". I did the debugging, i did the rage setting , everything should be right... I don't know why it doesn't work. Anyone know? Or is there another simple way to root without super one click ?

When I first started rooting phones I couldn't get past that problem. You need to download the android software development kit (sdk)from here :http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. Also make sure you have the most recent version of super one click. I tried using a not to old one but not the most recent and it didn't work. Make sure usb debugging is enabled and don't connect as mass storage.

A lot of questions about removing bloatware once rooted in this thread. The safest method I have found is to get Titanium Backup from the market. Then you can "freeze" the bloatware which hides the offending apps from the system so they don't run in the background and they don't show up in the app drawer. While this doesn't technically get rid of the apps it might as well. It also is a great way to back up apps and you won't accidentally bork your phone by deleting something important.
