How to save a chat

I chat with companies a lot and would like to save our chat in some form. Other than taking a series of screen shots, is there another way to do this? I can't believe there isn't something! Thanks for your help.

Hi Frank. Can you explain where the chats are being made? Which app are you using to chat? Each app is different so we would need more information.

Hi There,
Thanks for writing. This was a chat which I was offered from the Verizon website while I was looking for info. I assumed "being made" meant by Verizon, but are you suggesting the interface originates in another app? If so, could you suggest some possibilities? A Google produced a lot of links to Snapchat, which I don't use. I do use Verizon messager. I'm a very modest user of social media. Sorry if I misunderstood your question.

In my experience, the little online chat windows don't really have any good option for screenshots (at least on a desktop browser). You could ask for a chat ID from the agent, which might be able to bring up the transcript if you refer to it. But as far as apps, I'm not aware of any.
