Hey guys, I'm new to android! So I have transfered all my contacts from my Blackberry to my samsung S6 with ''inTouch app'', and now when I go in the settings of the contacts application from Samsung I try to move all my contacts to my google account and my samsung account as well, but it doesn't let me since it says I have no contacts saved on my device.. I'm still learning how to use android and all, I was wondering if there's a way to save my contacts on my device first and theb save them on my google and samsung account. I thought that InTouch app would of saved them on my device but I guess not...

Thanks guys!

In Contacts:

Menu-Import/Export-Export to SIM card. (You can also use USB if you have an OTG cable and a thumb drive.)

Then:

Menu-Import/Export-Import to your Google account. That will sync all your contacts to Google Contacts.

Thanks! Its working now! Will I have to do that every time I add a new contact or it'll backup on my google account automatically?

If your phone is synced with your Google Account when you add a new contact in will be backed up to Google.

To add to that, when you create a new contact, it gives you options of where to save the contact, just select your gmail account.

How about with the galaxy s7?
I have Google account and synced but the contact wasn't synced and I cannot find an option to synced new contacts to google or even make a contact to save on google.

Can you add a new contact and then force a sync of the account. Not sure on a Samsung but on my Nexus 6P you would go to Settings > Accounts > Google > then the three vertical dots > Sync Now. If that does not do it for you then maybe someone with a Galaxy S7 will chime in here.

I've tried everything the options aren't there..I'm surprised tbh after I force sync, the new contact isn't on my contact list on google accused from browser. Thanks anyways

I had to go to contact and share to by email then add to Gmail manually.
Syncing never works for me.
