Android Central Question

I recently lost a phone while on holiday in Egypt. I cancelled my automatic recharge for the phone and thought no more about it. I've just discovered that the phone was logged into my Google account a couple of days ago, so I have changed my password, so hopefully it won't be able to log in again.

My question is whether I can screen-lock the phone or erase the phone's data remotely. The phone is still in Egypt according to Google Find My Phone and I'm in Australia, so going there to get it isn't an option.

Advice please

Tony

OK, I'm logged in now. I thought I was before, but obviously not....

When I click the link you gave in your reply above, I get the screen searching for my Galaxy Tab A, sitting on the desk beside me. I don't see any way to change that device. I actually have 3 other devices, this PC, a Galaxy Trend Plus and the Galaxy S3.

How do I switch between devices on this screen?

Thanks

Tony

Thanks for your prompt reply.

However, that isn't what I see...

There isn't a list of devices above the one displayed. The page won't scroll to show a hidden list.

Here are the devices currently signed in. The S3 in Egypt seems to have signed out, so it isn't listed.

Edited to add:

I've just noticed that the URL on my page isn't the same as the one in the link. When I manually type your URL it changes to https://www.google.com/android/find

Are you sure the device was logged in to the same account?

I've signed the Trend Plus into the account and the link still just shows the Tab A. I also entered the URL manually on the Tab A and that still shows the same thing.

Basically, I can't find a way to switch from the one device which shows up.

As for the login, your device only had to be on and connect to the internet and it'll show it as logged in. I found this out when I was going thru my divorce. Everyday while I was at work my tab would show up as logged in 5 minutes ago or an hour or whatever and I accused my ex of snooping but really I had just left it on and every so often it sends a data pack to the internet and looks like a log in. Now that you've changed your password it can no longer connect to your account and you probably won't be able to find it again since it can't connect you can't connect to it. Make sense? If there's a screen lock or some kind of security on the device already preventing anyone from opening the phone even to make a call, it's safe to say they never accessed your account and done have access to anything except a device that even if they factory reset is useless to them.
