How to set an app as live wallpaper

I just installed this GLSL Shader Editor (https://f-droid.org/app/de.markusfisch.android.shadereditor). When I click set as wallpaper, it prompts me to set the app as live wallpaper. When I go to Settings > Display > Wallpaper, it launched the Google's Wallpapers app. I cannot find an option to set an app as live wallpaper.

A live wallpaper is basically an animation in app form. You can't set an app as a live wallpaper unless it's designed to be used a such.

I was simply quoting what they said (https://github.com/markusfisch/ShaderEditor/blob/master/FAQ.md#set-wallpaper-doesnt-work). I suppose they meant for the app to show up in the list of live wallpapers.
