How to set multiple Do Not Disturb Rules?

Hi all,
New S9+ owner. I am trying to set rules for Do Not Disturb. I see in the settings "Turn on as Scheduled" and I can set it for certain days of the week and hours, but only once and that's it. How can I create several rules, such as turn on during set nighttime hours, and turn on during set work day hours. That's how I had my BlackBerry Priv with Android set. I can't seem to do it on the S9+. Also, App Rules has nothing in it. When I click on it it just says "No Rules", but there's no way to create an app rule. I want to get notifications for my outside security camera at night when DND is on but I can't set an app rule. Any help is appreciated!

I want to know this as well, but from the looks of it, it appears to not be an option. I wish andriod phones kept it all the same.

If I go to settings, apps, (choose app), notifications I can set it to override dnd.

Thanks. It seems that the override option is not available for all apps. The app I want doesn't have it in the notifications settings.

Ah well I just noticed that if I actually click on either of the two categories there that it gives me more options and one of them is the DND override. So, thank you! I found it.

BUT, I still want to be able to set more than one profile. Why would they take that away I wonder. So now I have to change all the settings for nighttime, because I don't want the same exceptions during the day that I want at night. I'll have to find an app to do it but I hate downloading apps to do things that my OS used to be able to do.

Yeah I was peeved when I noticed I couldn't do more timers like I could on my G6 :/ might look and see if there's another app option on the play store

I don't have a setting in DND called automatic rules. I wonder if this is a carrier thing. I have Verizon.

You can download an app called Sound Assistant and you can create the profiles other phones let you do automatically using that.
It's weird how the newest phone needs an app to do so, but it seems to have solved my issue for now

Yes! I've been using Sound Assistant for awhile now and it works perfectly for this. I use DND for nighttime hours and I set up a Sound Assistant profile for my work hours. Great suggestion, thanks!

It's a Galaxy "feature". With all the bloatware, what's another app to do what vanilla Android does natively on other phones.

Not sure if this will help you but here is what I found works for some apps to override DND. Settings > Notifications > Advanced> Locate App> Toggle Do Not Disturb exception. Not all apps have it so it might not for everything you're looking for but that is what I stumbled upon trying to find the same thing for my Uber Driver & Lyft Driver apps (which of course don't have that option) might try one of the apps mentioned in your thread. Oh and I have a Note 8.
