How to setup new phone with old data?

What do you do in your new android phone to setup for it to work like your old android phone with all the old phone data and apps and settings...?

I want to move everything to the new phone, so the new phone can work well without missing anything from the old phone.

If there is any important thing to setup in new phone, tell me too.

Samsung Galaxy S4 to Samsung Note 8.

Do you have Smart Switch on the S4?
If yes, there should be instruction with the note along with a USB adapter. Make sure you put them in the right order.
Most things will transfer, depending somewhat on the setup of the S4.
You will certainly need to check your apps settings on the new device once the transfer is done.
