Sorry for this mundane question. I can't figure out how to show simple text message notification that a new message is received while my S22 Ultra is off. I used to be able to see the new text msg received icon on the lock screen of my Note 10+ phone, but I can't figure out how to do this with my new phone. Thanks!

Have you tried settings, lockscreen, notifications toggle on.

Hi. Yes. On the "Lock screen" I have toggled the button to on for "Show always". But this doesn't work for showing any new text msg icon notifications. I'm probably doing something wrong. EDIT: Actually nothing is showing up on my lock screen, including new Gmail alerts. I must have a wrong setting somewhere.

Go to Settings - Lock screen and then tap on Notification, a window with additional options will appear.....set it there...PhotoCollage_1645748100293.jpg

Dang man, thank you so much! Yes, that did the trick! I sent an email to myself from my desktop and the "M" Gmail icon showed up on my lock screen. I'm guessing the same will be true for text messages as well. I appreciate it! Can't believe this is so non-intuitive to figure this out, haha!
