Question How to stop apps on Android 13 to check for Updates when they are open

My auto updates are already off however whenever i open any app on Android 13, the app checks for the latest version and gives me a popup to update, this is so annoying. There are tons of articles online but all it says is to turn off the auto update which is already off. This is a different issue, please help

Thank you for your message. It happens to every app I open after every few hrs. I will attach a screenshot. Refer attachment, these are 2 different apps

Ok, thanks for the screenshots. Open your Play Store app, tap your profile pic at the upper right, then Settings>Notifications. Is the Updates Available toggle turned off?

Hi, yes update notifications are turned off, refer attachment.

Does that pop up as a banner like when you're on your home screen?

You might not be able to do anything about it apart from dismissing the notification.

I have moto g54. No only when I open the app.

Send feedback to Google about it, either from the Play Store app's menu or the phone's system menu.
