How to stop Google Mail?

I use BlueMail for all my email activities. Ever since Goggle released the new version of Google mail I get 2 notifications when a new email arrives - BlueMail AND Google Mail.

This is annoying. Is there a way to stop Google Mail from being active? I've got a Startup Manager and Google Mail does not show up there, so I don't have a way to disable it at startup time.

Go into the gmail app. Click the menu on the top left. Scroll down to settings. Click on the email address and uncheck notifications. That should do it.
