How to stop "Smart Lock - New Bluetooth device paired." prompt?

I have a few Bluetooth devices paired with my Nexus 5x and some set as Trusted Devices, such as my keyboard, my headphone, etc.

I have recently bought a fitness tracker (Misfit Ray) and using it fine. However, i receive phone prompt every couple of hours that "new Bluetooth devices paired." from Smart Lock of the phone. Sometimes over half a day, i have 6 or 7 of these notifications on my list. It is boring and dumb.

I do not want to have my fitness tracker set as trusted device. is there a way for me to stop the phone from prompting this notification? it is driving me nuts.

Same exact problem. Anybody have any ideas?

If you enter the Smart Lock section of security there is a section called Trusted Devices. Click on that find your fitness watch, click on it and select remove from trusted devices.

Or. Select block all from the notifications section of the app settings.

Nexus 5X is the business!
