How to Sync Galaxy S5 Calendar with Outlook?

I've having a difficult time linking/syncing the Outlook Calendar on my desktop computer to the Calendar on my phone. I have already added my Live.Com email so that I can view that. (I do not wish to use Google calendar.) Does anyone know how I can sync for free, or would I have to purchase a program like CompanionLink?

I think your best bet will be to actually use the Microsoft Outlook app.... I have it installed on my phone (work emails) and it'll bring down your calendar information, but it won't sync them to the local calendar app.... you'll access the cal via Outlook.

There used to be tools to sync events between Exchange/Outlook and Google, but they've mostly been deprecated. I think Google incorporated a lot of those features into the enterprise version of the Google apps and Microsoft doesn't have anything of its own to push those events over to Google either. Now that Microsoft is doing a lot more Android development, maybe that'll change soon.
