Sorry if this post is redundant, but I've done my research and can't find anyone with my issue.

My primary goal is simply to sync the music on my NAS to my Thunderbolt.I am using a Windows 7 PC to perform the sync. After reading multiple posts, I figured I would stick to simply putting my phone in "Disk drive" mode and copying over the MP3s. But here is my problem:

I connect my phone via a USB cable, then select "Disk drive" on my phone. After this, I open Explorer on my PC and see an "E:" drive named "Verizon Mobile". However, this drive only has 5.81 MB of space. When I poke around my phone I know that it has almost 30 GB. So where am I supposed to put the music? What am I missing?

When you connect the ThunderBolt to the PC it will create two drives. One drive will emulate a CD. In fact it usually will say it is a CD. The other drive will be a normal external USB type drive. That is your SDcard. That is the one to put your music on.

If you are familiar with USB flash drives, some of them also have software that do this CD thing, in addition to the "normal" USB flashdrive.

Actually, as long as your music isn't in wma form, all not non drm mp3 and acc files can be transference through amazon cloud player. Once they are uploaded you can download them directly to your phone. If you have more than 5 gbs of music after you get the initial music on the phone you can delete them on the cloud drive to make room to transfer more.

Thanks

Thank you for the replies. So, the 5 MB of storage is listed as a CD that makes sense. But I do not see in Explorer where my SD card is being mounted. I will try the Amazon cloud service since I've been meaning to look into that anyway. But if anyone know of a very quick and simple solution to this I would love to hear it.

Where should I see the SD card on my phone mounted in Explorer? Here's what I see (some customization obvious):

Favorites
- workspace
- Desktop
- Downloads
- Recent Places

Libraries
- Documents
- Music
- Pictures
- Podcasts
- Videos

Computer
- Local Disk (C:)
- CD Dive (E:) Verizon Mobile
- ReadyNAS Shares

Network
- PC1
- NAS

Mine is just listed as yet another removable drive (K: in my case).

If you are selecting to "use as disk drive" and you are not seeing your SDcard on your PC, look into an issue with the phone or your PC. Try it on another PC maybe.

Mine is listed as another drive. You can also use Windows Media Player to do the sync.

Doubletwist works really well plus you can sync it over wifi without the USB cable
