So I rooted my TB successfully a couple of days ago and I installed a ROM using ROM Manager. Somewhere along the way my phone somehow unrooted itself and kept the custom ROM I had installed. I found what I think is the stock kernel but I don't know how I can tell if it is or not. All I'm trying to do now is return my TB to the way it was when I bought it. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance

menu settings about phone software info

stock software number as of now is
1.12.605.6

stock kernel version as of now (last update Sat feb 19 2011) is
2.6.32.21-gb0554a

hope this helps you

@scorpiodsu I didn't think it was possible either but when I checked the kernel version it still had the custom ROM but I didn't have superuser access, I even downloaded rootchecker and it said I didn't have root access.

@Edwill86 I checked that and it matches up. Under the kernel version it says "htc-kernel@and18-2 #1" is that normal?

yeah thats normal and correct. I just didnt feel like typing everything displayed :p

How'd you root it? Using Cory's method I don't see how it'd be possible to unroot without purposely doing it. Can you download super user from the market?

I did use his method to root and everything worked fine. It was after I downloaded a ROM that I started to have problems. No I couldn't download superuser
