How to text from my att android tablet without cell phone?

My tablet has it's own att phone number and it's own data plan. How can I text from here without attaching my cell phone number?

You cannot.
SMS messages are from phone number to phone number.

Alternatively, you can use a third-party instant message system, like WhatsApp or SnapChat, some of which may not attach your identity to your phone number.
