How To Theme?

I have a TMo V10 and to apply a theme on my phone it is Settings > Home screen > Theme (Under the Screen heading)

Once you tap the theme box, your downloaded themes should be there and you tap to apply. If it is not there, I suspect AT&T decided it's theme was so beautiful that you shouldn't mess with it! :p

I do not have anything under Settings/Home Screen/Screen to apply a Theme. I only have:
Wallpaper
Screen swipe effect
Allow Home screen looping
Allow apps list looping

Well, for whatever reason, it seems that Verizon and AT&T don't want you using LG's Smart World app and their themes. Sounds like a pain point to me.....GRIN! This must be frustrating for you!

Why would AT&T take this out???? Grrrrrr

Exactly! I have gone to other methods and used a different launcher. Been using Nova but just recently started playing around with Smart Launcher Pro. Both have really good features allowing you to pretty much make your device look they way you want it.

AT&T and Verizon for some stupid reason only they know blocked LG World from their versions of the V10. You can get it working. Download and install the LG Smartworld app from the link above. This is how I got it working on my AT&T V10:

Get the application "Any Shortcut" from play store
Open the application and enter the following details
Application : com.lge.launcher2
Activity : com.lge.launcher2.theme.LGThemeChooserActivity
Action: [Keep blank]
Intent : [Keep blank]
Then : create, your shortcut is done !

Now open the shortcut and your theme chooser application will fire up.
Download LG themes from LG Smart World application (not installed by default) and start applying themes.

This definitely worked for me although I find the theme selections somewhat bland. There are other things there as well like fonts, wallpapers, etc. Hope this helps you out.
