How to - Themes for Verizon V10

Here is how you can download and apply themes to your Verizon LG V10. If it's been discussed here or done already then I'm sorry for the repost.

Open Google Play Store
Download app "Any Shortcut"
Any Shortcut Playstore

Open the Any Shortcut app and enter the following details.

Application : com.lge.launcher2

Activity : com.lge.launcher2.theme.LGThemeChooserActivity

Action: [Keep blank]
Intent : [Keep blank]

After entering the above information press Create. Now there will be a shortcut on your home screen. Click it to open the theme window that Verizon hidden from the phone.

Now go to LGs website and download LG Smartworld manually. (It's not on playstore)

Click learn more under "LG Smartworld Apps" and you can download from there.

Then you'll have to find it in your download folder on your phone after it's downloaded and click it and install it manually. Its easy.

After installed open LG Smartworld and download whatever themes you would like and install them.

After theme is installed go back and click the shortcut you made on your home screen and the themes you just downloaded and installed will be there. Now apply your new themes. Have fun. If you need any help let me know and I'll do my best to help and will try to check this site regularly.

How do you get anything to download from LG Smartworld? I was able to do everything you listed here, except get the themes to download. SmartWorld is painfully slow.

Even the app itself I had to sideload from APKMirror.

It's was posted here awhile back but worth repeating. It works perfectly on my AT&T model. No slowdown at all. Didn't see much I wanted to download other that a new font.

Smartworld acts pretty much just like the play store..

Once Smartworld is opened go to the top left hand side where it says "LG Smartworld" and click the three little lines left of it to pull up the app menu.

Once the menu is up find where it says "customization" and then click it.

Now find where it says "Home Theme" and click that.

Now there will be a list of themes you can choose from to download. Find one you like and click it.

Now in the upper right hand side after you clicked the theme will be a reddish pink looking download button. Click it and then you will have to agree to the terms of service or make an LG account.

You don't have to make an account if you don't want to but you Will have to agree to the terms of service. (you can link lg Smartworld to your Google account if you would like)

After you are done you may have to click download again and then wait a moment and you will see it will start to download. I agree the app is kinda slow and laggy but that's normal even on the phones that come with LG Smartworld.

After it finishes downloading it will pop up and ask you to install it. Press install and after its finshed you can now open the theme shortcut you created on your home screen and the theme you just downloaded will be there for you to select and apply.

Also you can uninstall any theme individually that you don't like by going into your settings on the phone and clicking application manager and finding the theme listed.

I was looking for the G5 live wallpaper that looks digital Spirograph design. Couldn't find it on there. Do you know if it's on there or anywhere else for that matter? Thanks

Side note: If you want to download anything from LG SmartWorld, don't use wifi; use your mobile data. The difference is like night and day.
