how to transfer photos and videos from moto x4 device to sd card

I for the life of me cant figure out hot transfer the photos an some videos from my Moto x4 8.1 to a SD card.I have installed and formated a San Dsk 64g card but do not know how to complete the transfer and in the future put all my photos that I might take in the future

Installed the card as internal (or adoptable) storage or as portable storage.

If adoptable storage, you logically have only "storage" - Android puts what it wants where it wants. There's no more "SD card (logically).

If portable storage, use any file manager to copy the files where they are, then paste them to the SD card. If the copy and paste is successful, delete the original. (Don't use Move - if that fails you could lose both the original and the copy.)

If you install Total Commander, and hold the phone in landscape mode (wide and low), you get 2 screens, so you can open the source screen, then the destination screen, and just drag and drop.
